Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Helen.

A graveside service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, 41 Hecker Avenue, Darien on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 1:45 PM.  His obituary can be seen here.

For Daniel

Dec 20 -

Darien Fire Department Members, and hundreds of other firefighters from the region, bid farewell to Daniel B., our little brother, in Sandy Hook.

DFD For Daniel

Daniel wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up, like his FDNY uncles. His life was taken at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. It was nice to be able to help bring comfort to his family in some way by showing the support and solidarity of the fire service community. It was an honor to be part of this event.

Get Ready!

Oct 26 -

Please refer to local, state, and federal government guidelines with regard to preparing for the upcoming storm.

Per darienct.gov website:

“Darien is calling for mandatory evacuations of all coastal areas by 7pm [Sunday October 28] including Noroton Bay, Tokeneke, Contentment Island, Five Mile River Road, Holly Pond, Delafield Island, Tokeneke in the vicinity of the Five Mile River. Record high tides will result in all inland river areas to flood. During peak storm conditions, emergency personnel may not be able to get to you. Seek shelter with family or friends if possible. When evacuating, remember to bring all items for personal health and safety as well as important documents and insurance papers. ”
