Six of our committee members just returned from a mid-construction inspection at Seagrave Fire Apparatus in Clintonville, Wisconsin. Their mission was to inspect the progress of the truck mid-way through its construction process. Each statement in the 100 page specification was reviewed aginast what was actually built. Methodical and detailed inspection of the dismantled bucket, boom, and chassis, was also done.
Generally speaking, the apparatus is coming along very well. It is beautifully and strongly built. The committee is very happy with the results, and is planning to return to the factory at the end of April for a final inspection.
